To grow Alabama’s forests and forest industry
IN 1978, THE ALABAMA FORESTRY FOUNDATION (AFF) WAS INCORPORATED AS A 501(C)3 EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION TO PROVIDE FORESTRY EDUCATION, PROMOTE WISE STEWARDSHIP OF ALABAMA’S FOREST RESOURCES AND DEVELOP POLICIES AND PROGRAMS THAT RESULT IN HEALTHY FOREST AND RELIABLE MARKETS.
Today, AFF works with a number of closely related organizations as well as local, state, and federal partners to educate students, engage landowners, and inform decision makers.

To provide forestry education, promote forest resource conservation, protect private property rights, and grow forest products markets for healthy forests and a strong forest industry.
